The Town’s location near an important communication route Szczecin-Gdańsk (a national road nr 6), close to border crossings, airport in Goleniów and ferry port in Świnoujście, is one of the basic Nowogard’s economic values.
Another trump is well-developed commune’s infrastructure and owning considerable electric energy and gas reserves, as well as water for consumable, industrial and agricultural purposes.
The very important is also a complete lack of ecological threats owing to functioning the local sewage treatment plant and commune’s landfill site. It is worth mentioning that in Nowogard basic public institutions work, including branch offices and banks.
Nowogard Commune, as a partner of Kostrzyn-Słubice Special Economic Zone, has investment areas, located at national road nr 6, adjoining Nowogard ring-road.
These areas are assigned for production and warehouse purposes and storage.
Enterprises deciding on conducting a business activity in the Kostrzyn-Słubice Special Economic Zone can use CIT income tax exemption from the amount of 35% to 55% of their initial investment costs or two-year employment costs.
In the Communes’ offer there are some facilities offered to potential investors. Among them, there is a tax exemption in a real property tax for the period of 1 to 5 years, concerning all entrepreneurs creating new workplaces.
The entrepreneurs are entitled to tax exemption if they:
- create at least 5 workplaces for the period of 2 years,
- create at least 10 workplaces for the period of 5 years,
- create at least 50 workplaces for the period of 10 years.
Besides, the local authorities declare co-operation in the management of investment areas by buying or renting as well as giving assistance to the investor if needed when trying to establish and run business activity.
